Android/Java: Set a custom font for a textview or similar

Copy your SuperCustomFont.ttf to your project folder into the assets/fonts directory (if this does not exist, create it).

//get your textview which should get the new font
  TextView tv=(TextView) findViewById(R.id.textView1);
//create a new typeface with your SuperCustomFont
  Typeface tf = Typeface.createFromAsset(getAssets(),"fonts/SuperCustomFont.ttf");
//set your new typeface to your textview
  tv.setTypeface(tf);
//done.
